IMG_1712_oct_3Playing with clay was a blast!

What fun playing with that clay and all Betsy’s bits and pieces! The three toaster ovens were kept busy and many people ended up with several projects.

I now have four small buttons and a shawl pin but much more than that … I discovered that I loved working with the clay and will certainly go on to do something else. Betsy had a lovely mold for different sized faces which I would like to use to make buttons for my new winter coat.

Here is some of the work done by our members. There are mosly buttons, acouple of shawl pins and several focal pendants and beads for jewellery. The colours were gorgeous!

Next month ... November 7 ...  Carol Owen is going to show us some of the fun of molding leather. Apparently it is easily molded when wet and takes stain or markers beautifully for colouring. I’m surprised at the things she has been telling me can be done with leather so I’m looking forward to November 7. Check out the website to see what you might need to bring.
