We're back after our summer break and just in time for the Simcoe County Quilt Rug and Craft Fair on September 17 to 19!
This fair started more than 60 years ago and, at the time, was reportedly the first of it's kind in Canada. Still running, it is now held annually at the Simcoe County Museum on Hwy 26 in Midhurst, just north of Barrie.
You'll find an outstanding quilt show, along with traditional rug hooking, weaving, spinning, stitchery and lace making on display and being demonstrated. A multitude of items for sale can solve your Christmas gift issues. Especially in SCACA's Members' Boutique where our members show the multitude of skills and talents they have.
Great food and music also round out a great day at the museum! Some people come for the pie!
