Painting Small Landscapes

lu watercolour sample 2Ever wonder what it's like to paint something small? Here is your chance to pull out a paintbrush and discover for yourself. See just how easy it can be to work with water colours in a non-traditional way.

 

Paint your impression of a Georgian Bay landscape, made simple with the use of a few simple brush strokes. Your vreation will be apinted on hot press cotton with Windsor Newton water colour paints. Your imagination and steady creative hands will do the rest.

Margarine or Yogurt tub for water
Paper towels
#2 Round Toray Brush (I prefer Escoda Seris 1410) or a flat #2 brush
#10 Angular Toray Brush (I prefer Escoda Series 1570)

Enjoy the finished product by matting your art to give it a polished look. Purchase price $3.00 includes two mats, a foam lift, tape and hinges.
Framing kit is also available, including a solid wood frame, glass, skirt for the back and the hardware for an additional $20.00. Ready and perfect for a fine gift item.

This meeting is held at the Simcoe County Museum on Hwy. 26 just past Midhurst, beginning at 1pm sharp. The fee of $10 for guests and $5 for members covers instruction, materials and light refreshments.
