Instructor's Bio
Sheila Klugescheid, owner and operator of Heartland Creations, will be instructor this year. She says, "I grew up in the Stayner area most of my life and have always been involved in some sort of handicraft or art project from a very young age.
I started rug hooking back in the fall of 1996 when I signed up for classes with Linda Wilson and from the beginning I was hooked.
I then went on and bought an exsisting rug supply company in the spring of 1998.
I started selling my hand dyed wool and self designed patterns in the fall. I decided to try teaching rug hooking about the same time with lots of encouragement from local rug hookers. I started taking my teaching certification through the Ontario Hooking Craft Guild and became a certified teacher in 2003, and have been teaching people the joy of rug hooking ever since.
