Instructors Bio:
Frank Meher and Misty Foley will take you through a step-by-step creation of a mouse. They will provide hands-on instructions and demonstrations of the use of materials, tools, and reference materials. You will learn to rough out the carving from a blank, add eyes and finish it in either its natural wood or painted.
Frank started carving as a hobby in the 90s and has never looked back. He has carved birds, caricatures, reliefs, chip carving, spoons and animals. He likes to wood burn his finished carving to enhance the beauty of the natural wood.
Misty has been carving for 4 1/2 years, and has placed 1st, 2nd and Best of Class at Owl's Nest Woodcarving Show in Kitchener for her Chip Carvings. Her favorite style is chip carving but she also enjoys carving faces, in the round, golf balls.
Both are active members of the Barrie Woodcarving Club.
