Instructor's Bio
Cindy is a graduate of Ontario College of Art, Advertising Design. She has continued learning over the past 30 years with various courses in other crafts and media from Individual Master Craftsmen. She is proficient in many media with 35 wall hangings commissioned by architects and woven and hooked pieces decorating her home but knitting is her passion.
Cindy uses natural yarns to fashion everything from children's sweaters, hats, scarves, mitts, headbands, vests and socks to one-of-a-kind sweaters for adults. "I revel in the challenge of creating unique pieces." Cindy says. "Sometimes I embroider with ribbon and beads for detail. By encompassing lace, argyle, cable and crocheting styles, each model is an exclusive design."
Cindy's European knitting style makes for unparalleled even tension, resulting in long-lasting durable knits. She teaches European style knitting, charging $5 an hour. "It is much faster and easier on your hands. The tension is very accurate, even for beginners," she says.
