On October 5, we invite members and guests to learn the art of cartooning with Barrie cartoonist, award-winning video artist and teacher, Bob Kain.
Bob Kain does client work including custom designed cartoons and illustrations for advertising, marketing and educational uses. He developed the character of "Chirp" for Chirp Magazine for Preschoolers published by Owl.
Cartooning classes are taught throughout Simcoe County and York Region. In Barrie classes are taught at the MacLaren Art Centre and in Penetanguishene at the Quest Art Centre. Classes include 'Learn to Cartoon' and 'Introduction to Animation'. There are classes for children, teenagers and adults.

The meeting is held at the Simcoe County Museum at 1pm sharp until 3pm. The general public is invited to attend. There is a charge of $5 for members and $10 for non-members which covers instruction, materials and refreshments.
